The 4^th World Congress for IFHNOS was held in Seoul, Korea, from 15-18 June 2010, and was a resounding success. Congress President was Kwang Hyun Kim. It was hosted by International Federation of Head and Neck Oncologic Societies, Organized by Korean Society for Head and Neck Oncology, and Sponsored by Korean Society of Head and Neck Surgery / Korean Cancer Association / Korean Society of Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery / Korean Society for Therapeutic Radiology & Oncology.
The meeting was well attended and superbly organized. The program was simply outstanding.

The 8th IFHNOS World Congress was held from Wednesday, August 26, to Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre in Queensland, Australia, and co-organized by the International Federation of Head and Neck Oncologic Societies (IFHNOS) and the Australian and New Zealand Head and Neck Cancer Society (ANZHNCS). This was truly a global event, bringing together experts from over 70 member societies across 58 countries. This was Australia’s largest ever head and neck cancer congress with over 1120 registered attendees. The theme of the congress was “Global Harmonization of Head and Neck Cancer Care through international collaboration,” and was reflected in an outstanding scientific program which featured 35 concurrent sessions, 20 National Society symposia, 8 plenary sessions, 280 presentations, 124 oral abstracts, 175 E-posters and 2 lively debates. The pre-meeting workshops were all sold out at the start of the meeting. This comprehensive multidisciplinary scientific program focused on the latest discoveries in head and neck oncology with special emphasis on personalized cancer care, including innovative surgical treatments, precision radiation oncology, and the latest development in immunotherapy and targeted therapy. The meeting also gave special emphasis on rehabilitation, function, and quality of life. Equally impressive was a rich social program that allowed attendees to exchange ideas with colleagues from around the world in a friendly and lively atmosphere of the beautiful city of Brisbane.
