Brief Summary :

On the occasion of the World Head neck cancer day, a joint symposium was conducted by the major head & neck societies across the World  on 25^-26th July 2020 with the theme-‘Advanced oral cancer management- controversies to consensus’

Two day online event was jointly conducted by International Federation of Head & neck Oncological Societies (IFHNOS),  Association of oral craniomaxillofacial surgeons ( AOCMF), the international Academy of Oral Oncology( IAOO) & Tata Memorial Hospital Mumbai, India.

Eminent faculty in the field of head & neck cancers from India, USA, Spain, Indonesia, Brazil participated in the event. The discussions on the first day were centered on -  Oral cancer early detection: strategies and technologies with talks on newer technologies for early diagnosis of oral cancers, management of premalignant lesions. Management of advanced oral cancers was addressed with case based discussions on controversial topics in the field.

More than 500 participants attended the online event from all across the world on both of the days with interactive discussions with the faculties, thus successfully managing to continue the cancer awareness & educational activities in spite of the ongoing global pandemic.
